MillBox: Maximum CPU Performance

Created by Aubrey Loice Donato, Modified on Wed, 3 Dec at 11:26 AM by Aubrey Loice Donato

MillBox includes a setting that lets the app use the maximum CPU performance available on your workstation. Turn this on when you want faster calculations on large bridges, hybrids, or heavy simulations.

When to use it

  • Big multi-unit cases or nested batches

  • Long calculation times with many strategies

  • Workstations with high-core CPUs that are underused

Note: This increases CPU load and heat. Make sure your PC cooling is healthy and the machine is on AC power.

Enable Maximum CPU Performance

  1. Open Tools
Click the Tools button on the MillBox home screen.

Tips for best results

  • Set Windows Power mode to Best performance

  • Keep vents clear and fans clean

  • Close other heavy apps during calculation

  • If temperatures spike or the PC throttles, uncheck the setting and review cooling

Quick checklist

  • Maximum CPU Performance enabled

  • CPU performance notification enabled (optional)

  • Windows power mode set to Best performance

  • System thermals stable during long jobs
