Error: “Sorry, module not enabled.”

This pop-up appears when MillBox starts but the license on the dongle does not match the app you launched or a feature you tried to open is not enabled for that license.

Common causes

  • Wrong edition or installer
    Example: launching a Standard or Expert build with an OEM-limited dongle (4-axis wet, 5-axis dry, etc.).

  • Two dongles connected at once
    MillBox uses the most restrictive license it sees. Mixing dongles can silently limit features.

  • Feature not licensed
    Opening Strategy Editor or another module that your dongle does not include.

  • License out of date or not activated
    Annual maintenance or pack options not present on the key.

Quick fixes (in order)

  1. Use the correct dongle

  • Unplug all other dongles.

  • Insert only the dongle meant for this workstation and relaunch MillBox.

2. Check the edition and license status in MillBox

  • Open Job Management from the home screen.

  • Review the version information panel: edition, build date, dongle number, and whether packs are enabled/disabled.

3. Match installer to your license

  • If the panel shows an OEM edition or different year than your installer, install the correct build for that dongle.

4. If you run multiple dongles on one PC

  • Avoid mixing active keys. Use a powered USB hub with per-port switches so only the intended dongle is on.

  • Optionally consolidate compatible licenses into a single dongle to simplify usage.

5. Still seeing the error?

  • Your license may need an update or activation. Contact Support with the info below.
