One of the functionalities of MillBox is its fully automated capability to recognize the type and shape of objects, independent of the CAD system employed. The design elements will be detected automatically.
However, there are situations in which duplicate curves, misaligned design details, or incorrect orientations emerge during the import of a restoration, which may be linked to their construction information.
Some issues may only become apparent when reviewing the simulation, after they have already caused collisions.
Resolution:
Previously, we used a workaround that involved isolating the STL file from its construction information. This required copying the STL file from its original location and saving it in a different area, such as the Desktop or another folder, to ensure it was separated from its construction information.
However, this is no longer necessary, as MillBox has been enhanced and now includes an option to disregard any supplemental design files.
Follow these steps to ignore the design details for your restoration case:
Click Tools.
Then Configurations
Scroll down to the Modules section and select the box that says ‘Ignore supplemental CAD files’
