Air In Port - No Retention on Suction Hose

Overview

The Air In Port of the Srefo Suction Units is specifically designed to accommodate a standard hose with an outer diameter of 8 mm. 

This size provides a snug fit, ensuring effective airflow and preventing any potential air leaks that might compromise the suction unit's performance. A hose larger than this size like a 10 mm outer diameter is too large to securely fit within the Air In Port connector.

Issue

In some cases, it has been observed that the Air In Port may lack an adequate retention mechanism. This could potentially result in the 8 mm hose becoming easily unplugged during operation.

Resolution

If you encounter difficulties in achieving a snug fit for the 8mm outer diameter hose in the Srefo Suction Unit, please follow these steps to ensure a secure connection:

1. Begin by opening the back panel of the Srefo Suction Unit.

2. Using a set of open-end wrenches, carefully loosen the metal cable connector attached to the Air In port.

3. The metal connector is attached to a white plastic tube. Carefully disconnect the other end of the white plastic tube from the coupling as shown below.

4. You can now insert the standard 8mm outer diameter hose into the Air In Port hole.

5. Connect the hose to the coupling inside the suction unit, bypassing the metal connector.
